RE-EDUCATED

Re-Educated is my signature body of work — a distinctive creative process of unlearning and re-learning that transforms knowledge into visually engaging education. The series began with portraits of iconic figures who inspired me, concentrating on the messages they conveyed through their songs, speeches, writings, or philosophies. By translating their words into symbols, diagrams, equations, and visual metaphors, I sought to make their ideas accessible, memorable, and thought-provoking. Over time, the work evolved beyond individual portraits to explore broader subject matters and tackle pressing social issues such as race, air pollution, and community empowerment, using the same visual language to dissect and communicate complex ideas. At its core, Re-Educated is driven by the belief that some of the most valuable lessons are learned outside traditional classrooms — from teachers found in lived experiences, communities, and everyday life. Each piece functions as both an artwork and a lesson, inviting viewers to decode, reflect, and engage critically with the material. This approach has become the foundation of my artistic identity, leading to my debut solo exhibition, multiple commissions, large-scale murals, live art bookings, and workshops in schools, and has been recognized with an award. Ultimately, Re-Educated is more than a series of artworks — it is a visual language and an educational movement that challenges conventional notions of learning, transforming walls, public spaces, and interactions into sites of discovery and dialogue.
